Documents
The Documents tab is your paperwork archive across all your orders in one place: “Certificates, invoices, and reports for your work orders.” Instead of opening each work order, filter here by document type or order number and download what you need.
Where these files come from
Everything in this tab traces back to your own orders — three sources, nothing else:
- Documents attached to your work orders — test reports, packing slips, workscopes, teardown reports, photos.
- Release certificates issued on those work orders — the 8130-3 / EASA Form 1 scans and their traceability paperwork.
- Your invoices.
Files belonging to other customers, vendors, or the shop’s internal records never appear here, and every download is individually checked against your account.
Using the tab
Screen: The Documents page — one panel headed Documents with the subtitle “Certificates, invoices, and reports for your work orders.” Two dropdown filters sit at the top — Type (defaulting to “All types”) and Work order (defaulting to “All work orders”) — over a list of files. Each row shows the document title, its type, the related order number, and a Download button.
- Open Documents in the portal navigation.
- Narrow the list with the Type filter (only types you actually have are offered — e.g.
FAA 8130-3,Invoice,Test Report) and/or the Work order filter (every order of yours is listed by number). - Click Download on a row. The file downloads directly — one tap.
- Long lists page with Load more.
The filter dropdowns appear once you have at least one document. Until then the tab shows “No documents yet — certificates, invoices, and reports appear here as your work orders progress.” When filters match nothing, it says so and suggests trying a different type or work order.
Document types you may see
Type names are shown in plain words. Common ones:
| Type label | What it is |
|---|---|
FAA 8130-3 | Authorized release certificate scan. |
EASA Form 1 | The EASA equivalent release certificate. |
Traceability Packet | Back-to-birth / trace paperwork. |
ATA 106 | ATA Spec 106 part or material certification. |
Certificate of Conformity | C of C for new/conforming material. |
Test Report / Inspection Report | Shop findings and test results. |
Teardown Report | Findings from a teardown job. |
Packing Slip | What shipped in the box. |
Invoice | Your invoice for the job. |
Documents attached to a work order and its certificates also appear on that order’s detail page, scoped to that order — see Tracking work orders. Invoices appear only here.
For operators: to make a file visible here, attach it to the customer’s work order, issue the certificate against that work order, or issue the invoice. The document sources and the read-only nature of the WO documents table are covered in the release documents guide.
